SO! Gushing having been accomplished, I tried my hand at animating a few small digital paintings, which was quite the adventure! Learning new stuff all the time. The art is spoilery, so if you'd rather not get hints as to what lies ahead, read the fic first: GENTLE FLESH.
Title: Gentle Flesh
Warnings: body horror, canonical character death (reimagined), references to torture and rape in Hell, selfcest
Summary: Sam's soul is back, safe and sound, from Hell—but his body's nowhere to be found. He's on the run, leaving nothing in his wake but echoes. He doesn't want his soul back, and he's got good reasons. When Sam finds him, hiding out in a motel room halfway across the country, they only have until morning to decide: whether to become one person again, or part ways forever.
Sam listens for the noise of Dean approaching, but whatever faint buzz there is, it's still a long
way away. Like a train horn at a great distance. A rumbling felt more in the bones than anything else.
“Far,” he says. “You could still leave if you wanted.”
“I'm leaving,” he says. He finishes the knot and looks up. Dean's a black shadow in the
doorway, featureless with the sun behind him. “Don't worry. You're never gonna see me again.”
Artist Notes: First time I seriously tried to animate something. Got a LOT to figure out, but it was fun! Much thanks to A for letting me play with her fic.
PS...CRAP. Just realized I forgot Sam's tattoo! *snagifrackassonofabitch* Ah, well, too late now... :P
