Right, so salty_catfish clued me into this comm at DW called "flaneurs", devoted to the act of urban rambling. It's spring, the weather is improving, and I thought this would be a great impetus to get out and do a little live sketching.

So here's the deal. You give me a starting location in my city (in this case, somewhere in the metropolitan Columbus, Ohio area and its considerable surrounding suburbs.) I'll take a walk from there, take pictures, sketch, get some fresh air, share my world with you, yadda. Okay, so this might involve 'rural' or 'suburban' rambling, but that's Ohio for you. Eric Kripke is from Ohio, you know...so it could get weird. ;)

Bring it on, babies!

Yaaaay \o/
That street grid is impressive in its squareness. Uhm, would the John W Galbreath Bicentennial Park work as a starting point? If not I'll have another go.

I haven't been there in aaaaages and they've definitely updated it since my last visit; it's an excellent place to start! Right downtown on the river. Thank ya, m'dear! That'll be my Monday field trip.

The hot sauce store in the market (if it's even still there) near the convention center.

Oh, I bet you mean the North Market! That's a fave hang-out for me and the fam. Maybe I'll kidnap honeylocusttree and take her there for lunch. And hotsauce. And sketching.

I'm honeylocusttree and I approve of this message.

(Also hot sauce. I approve of that too.)

I think so? I was there on business years ago & really liked that entire neighborhood.

So you're saying I shouldn't suggest "Eric Kripke's house" then, right?

; )

What a great idea and what is the first thing I see when I google-map Columbus, Ohio? Yup, Winchester Park, Winchester villages etc etc - please please start there sometime, it would be so awesome! LOL

SRSLY? I don't even know where that is! This week was a great week for roadtrips but my hubs kept taking the car with the fuel in it, leaving me with the empty one. I finally got gasoline today, so I'll have to figure out this Winchester Park!
